Making money online with master resell rights
Filed under: Internet Marketing, Monetizing, Sales Conversion, Starting a business — Tags: 1 million dollars, buy the product, buyers, conversions, ebook, ebooks, email blast, make money online, making money, master resell rights, opt in, optin, profit, software, squeeze page, squeeze pages, worst case scenario — admin @ 1:02 pmOver the years there have been a ton of get rich quick schemes on the internet. And even with bad press, alot of those schemes still get signups from people hoping that they can strike oil. But I am here to tell you of how you can actually make decent money and it has nothing to do with unrealistic promises. It is simple common sense and math that sets it apart.
Have you ever come across a page on the internet with a bunch of hyped up text, pictures, and usually a clock counting down? It is called a squeeze page. The page is meant to hype up a product which is usually an ebook or software in which at the time you are done reading the page, you can buy the product.
Squeeze pages usually sell a product that gives you resell rights. Ebooks are a good example. Not all of them, but alot of ebooks give the buyer master resell rights which allows him/her to put up a similar squeeze page on the internet and sell that product just like it was sold to the buyer. The key to successfully making money is to get the buyers on the page. The answer is in the math.
Let’s say that you have a product for sale at $1.00, and let’s say you got 1 million people to purchase that product. You just made $1,000,000.00. What if your product was selling for $15.00? you need just under 67,000 buyers to purchase that product to get that same 1 million dollars. In order to do that you will need to play the numbers game.
There are plenty of decent opt-in email services out there. I have recently come across one that sells a 1 million email blast for $600. Assuming that at least 10% of those emails turn into conversions, that equals 100,000 buyers which is way more than the 67,000 you need. In the worst case scenario you need 6.7 percent of those 1 million emails to actually convert in order to make your first 1 million dollars profit.
The best part of all this is that you can easily find a decent ebook or product that will sell for $15.00 and has master resell rights. Simpy Google “master resell rights” and see what products pop-up in results.

wp-useronline plugin missing ip address
Filed under: Blogging, Script Installations, Wordpress — Tags: blog, bot, guest, missing ip address, missing ip addresses, notepad, phpmyadmin, upgraded, wordpress, wp useronline — admin @ 5:57 pmIf you are using the wp-useronline plugin for Wordpress and recently upgraded, you will notice that the IP Addresses vanished. All you can see is that it is a guest or bot and what page they are on.
To correct this issue, open the wp-useronline.php file in notepad and locate the following line
$user_level = intval($current_user->wp_user_level);
Notice wp_user_level. That wp_ needs to be changed to the prefix your blog uses in your database. If you are unsure what we are talking about then you most likely did not install the blog. When you install a Wordpress blog you are asked what prefix you want to use. You can find out what that is if you have access to your database using phpMyAdmin.
Simply change that line with your prefix and save the file. Then upload and write over the file and your issue will be resolved.

Filed under: Google, Link Building, PageRank, SEO Tutorials, Search Engine Marketing, Search Engine Optimization, Search Engines — Tags: algorithm, descriptions, Google, inbound links, indexed website, keyphrases, keywords, meta tags, numbers, pagerank, PR3, reciprocal links, relevant, search, unindexed website — admin @ 10:48 amAlgorithms are a play of numbers and how those numbers are handled which gets applied to search keywords and phrases. The algorithm is quickly applied to the search that you do, and a website is displayed on the first page that beat out all the rest of every single indexed website for that keyword or keyphrase.
Google is a search engine that has a complex algorithm. The problem is that they do not rely on a good numbers based algo only. They also rely on old factors that are simply outdated and unreliable.
Example 1: You do NOT have to use meta tags (keywords and descriptions) in order to get indexed and ranked in Google. BUT if you DO use those meta tags and they do not match the content, then you lose points in the algorithm. If you use those tags and they DO match content for that page, then you earn a few points toward relevance.
Example 2: Inbound links are unreliable. It is one way that the rich can outperform the poor. Inbound (one-way) links can be purchased. Simply said, you can buy a large amount of one-way links from websites in the same industry as yours that have high PageRank and your own PageRank will increase 3 or 4 at a time even before you update your content regularly. Even reciprocal links have that power (lesser). I was able to get PR3 on a brand new unindexed website within 30 days time.
Unless Google starts using common sense, rather than the rooms full of PHD’s, then Google will never truly be relevant. Therefore, their current boast as the worlds most relevant search engine is nothing but hogwash.

DRTV goes small, but quickly returns
Filed under: DRTV — Tags: 30 second commercials, actors, commercial breaks, commercials, direct response television, DRTV, dvr, medium, television, tivo — admin @ 1:04 amDRTV also known as Direct Response Television. It is the medium that is commonly known as television commercials. It is also a medium that has been suffering with the invention of the DVR/Tivo box. I can personally vouch for that statement as my better half is so spoiled that she huffs and puffs if you are too slow to skip past them during primetime.
With Tivo, how on earth can DRTV be surviving? Well, they havn’t been. But coming this following season DRTV will supposedly make a comeback when it promises to cut out 30 second commercials and make them significantly shorter. The result is a commercial that is so small that it is not worth accidently skipping past your favorite show. It also promises to use the actors IN the show you are watching to help promote the product displayed in the commercials which will bring the viewer back to wanting to stay with the commercial.
With all good things there is a catch in this arrangement. By reducing the length of commercials, it increases the amount of commercials that appear during your favorite television shows. This means that instead of a 5 minute commercial break every 15 minutes (which results in 3 commercial breaks) you will see maybe 6 commercial breaks, or more…
How will you react to this change?

SEO. A new approach to computer infrastructure security.
Filed under: Security — Tags: attackers, computer security, detect a hack, hacker, IDS, infrastructure security, intrusion detection systems, ip address, known ip addresses, security staff, track the ip address — admin @ 6:38 pmI can see you now. Shaking your head in disbelief that the words SEO and computer security are being used within the same topic. when we think computer security, we see some techies in an office watching for hackers. But for non-security types, you have no idea how they do it.
While you may be unaware, so may be the actual security staff in regards to how these hacks can be detected. IDSs (Intrusion Detection Systems) are a system security people use to detect a hack. It displays abnormal activity and presents it to them so that it can be managed. But ordinary staff know nothing about these things.
Why should they care you ask? Because ordinary staff are an extra pair of eyes. And because ordinary staff can be shown simple methods of detecting strange activity. One way to do that is to use tools that SEO (search engine optimization) experts use regularly. One of those tools being statistics.
An example of a statistics tool is the “who’s online” plugin that we have installed on this blog. It displays the visitor, their ip address, and what pages they are accessing. So let’s say that a hacker is trying to brute force the administration. Their location on the site, as well as their ip address shows up. With a simple mouse click you can track that ip address to it’s origin.
In addition to tracking the person, the staffer can search known ip addresses of attackers and clock them from the website script (or complete domain and/or ip of the website) completely.
While it is important to have a reliable security staff, it is also necessary to ensure all your employees have basic knowledge of security.
