DMOZ stays the same, so follow the rules
Wednesday, December 24th, 2008The DMOZ rules have remained the same for a very long time, yet for some reason there are people steady posting on Resource Zone asking why they have not been listed yet, or why they have been delisted. Our volunteer time is something we choose to do as DMOZ editors. In addition to that, we spend more time wasted answering the same questions at RZ.
We do not provide status requests on DMOZ submissions, nor do we provide advice on how to get into DMOZ faster. All you can do is submit your website and wait. Once you do that, you have done what you can. Posting constantly on RZ about the same site is going to have no positive effect on your submission. Also, I have noticed people posting their URL on the Resource Zone Forum which is against RZ rules. BEFORE you post on there, AND BEFORE you submit to DMOZ it is very important that you read ALL OF THE RULES. This will save YOU alot of time. It will also help us volunteer DMOZ editors by freeing up our time so that we may actually edit.
